For the last four decades, Sarah has had a passion for health and fitness. With an intensity born first, of her own needs and then a desire to help others, Sarah has studied the changing face of wellbeing and formulated an approach that is effective, enjoyable and sustainable. Her research has carried her far and wide and her own qualifications include Holistic Nutritional Therapy, Food Coach and Aesthetician. With her move to the Hunter Valley came the opportunity to create her vision – her own transformational wellness retreat. Bringing together respected practitioners to work on a one on one basis with Nu Leaf guests, Sarah’s aim is to help each and every person to achieve a new start and to empower them to continue to live a healthy, happier and more balanced life.

As an avid fitness enthusiast, Allan has competed in numerous sporting disciplines, including representing Australia in the World Championships for long distance Triathlon. Allan has turned his passion for exercise into a career, becoming highly qualified as Personal Fitness Trainer, Yoga Instructor and Master Functional Trainer. Drawing upon his life experiences and professional training, Allan is dedicated to creating programs that inspire individuals to commit to their own fitness goals. Allan is qualified and experienced in Aqua Aerobics, Boxing, TRX, Power-Bags, Battle Ropes, Russian Kettle-bells, Functional Movement screening and much more. This ensures all his programs are leading edge, diverse and achieve maximum results. Allan has had great success in working with clients to achieve their weight loss goals and he strives to mentor each client to gauge their evolving needs and ensure a positive, supportive fitness experience.
Paula brings a wealth of experience to Nu Leaf Retreat from her 20 years of passionate and award winning cooking to studying for her Masters in Gastronomy with Le Cordon Bleu. Her food focus is always flavor driven with a talent for bringing out the very best from fresh seasonal ingredients in her own distinctive creative style. Paula’s’ aim at Nu Leaf is to provide healthy, organic & nutritional meals that bring that “wow” factor to the table, while also showing you how to cook and prepare these more food conscious dishes at home and that “eating as close to nature as nature intended” is the real lesson.

The owner of “Bite Into Life Nutrition” – a private practice with clinics across the Hunter Region, Sally is passionate about helping you become the healthiest version of YOU! She has a keen interest in weight management, diabetes and Irritable Bowel Syndrome, but practices across a wide range of nutritional concerns and health issues. In addition to advising on food choices, she is committed to exploring our ‘other’ reasons for eating and providing support to improve our relationships with food and body image. Graduating from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics, Sally is a member of the Dieticians Association of Australia (DAA). With a young family and a busy lifestyle, she appreciates the importance of keeping healthy meals quick, easy and inexpensive whilst being tasty and delicious! “My goal is to give you the tools and knowledge to make healthy lifestyle changes and enable you to feel confident with sensible and practical food choices”
Karen is the owner of Plantiful Health whose core business is Naturopathic Holistic Education and Coaching. Karen is passionate about optimum health and natural healing and loves empowering her clients to be their own doctors so that they can work with their body’s and with specialists in health care with confidence and personal expertise. Because, You know your body better than anyone else.
With qualifications in Nutritional Medicine, Naturopathy and Western Herbal Medicine, as well as a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Karen is able to provide valuable education on body systems, tailoring treatment plans with education and coaching to suit the individual. Karen can take your health concerns and explain them to you in a simple way that puts your mind at ease and gives you a plan and tools to attain ‘plantiful’ health.

Tony Lawder is a specialist in helping people reach and maintain their ideal weight. He is a coach and consultant who uses NLP, Hypnosis and other counselling techniques to assist his clients achieve success in changing the psychological connections which control their health and weight. He helps you understand the choices you make every day that keep you overweight and to break through the barriers that stop you from living the fit and healthy life you desire and reaching your ideal weight. After working with Tony, you will be able to easily make the decisions and choices that will ensure you reach your ideal weight
REIKI PRACTITIONER/HOLISTIC COUNSELLOR/MEDITATION TEACHER
Reiki is a gentle, hands-on technique which promotes deep relaxation and natural healing. It helps to unblock, align and rebalance the chakras, which encourages ‘shifts’ in energy that lead to a sense of calm, ease, clarity and inner strength. Reiki treatments are very nourishing for the body and mind, assisting with a greater sense of wellbeing and peace; relief from stress, anxiety or overwhelm; deeper, more restful sleep; aiding recovery from injuries and easing muscle pain; bringing relief from chronic pain.
Karen specialises in working with women – and more and more men! – who have the desire to rediscover their inner balance and reclaim a life of vibrant health on all levels. Karen works with clients through 1:1 Reiki and Holistic Counselling sessions and also runs Goddess Groups (Women’s Meditation & Sharing circles), Meditation classes and Self Care Workshops.
